In part 1, we already discuss a simple way to make a website (easy dan free) using blogger.com. Now let's discuss the most prominent rival of blogger: wordpress.com.
Please don't be confused between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Wordpress.com offers a free website service, while wordpress.org requires you to have your own webspace.
Ok now let's start by visiting wordpress.com and you will see page as bellow:
click "Start your website" button, and you will redirected to this page:
to be the simplest way, click the "continue with google" button, ignore the form above it (unless you don't have a google account. if so, then check our part 1 here to learn how to create a google account). Then select your account. Normally you only need to click on your account without typing a password. But if it asked you to do so, just type it in.
Type the blog address, like mine is "theeasytodothings", and chose the "Free" option.
On the next page, still click the "Start with free site" button.
And you already have your own website!
Klik "Start" to create a title of your website, and now you already set!
There a many tutorials on how to use Wordpress in your dashboard. But the very next step is, "Create a site menu", and "Launch your site" to make it accessible by others.
Wordpress dashboard menu a little more advanced than blogger. But it allows more customization. Please be familiar with the menus above. Once you get used to it, then you will find that WordPress is easier to manage than blogger.
