Nowadays, there is no limitation for you to work outside the office. Especially if your skill is about internet or computer related.
Maybe you are a good graphic designer, or computer programmer, or android programmer, website designer and developer, etc.

Now there are so many places online where you can sell your skill as a freelancer.
Here is a list where you can sell your skill online!

1. Fiverr.com

In this web, you could sign up as a seller or a buyer.
Let's say you have a skill in graphic designer, you want to sell your skill. So you log in as a seller.
Then create a gig, a post about what you are selling specifically. Like, designing a header banner for a website. You name your price. And when someone needs your skill, they will contact you and make a deal with you.

2. Freelancer.com

In this web site, it's quite the opposite of Fiverr. here you as a freelancer, find for any jobs opening from the customer. You should apply for the available jobs (it called bidding), and name your price, delivery time, etc. The customer then chooses to work with who they desire.
