Simple way how to compare blogger.com to wordpress.com

In the previous articles, I post some tips for building a website the simple way, easy and free, using blogger.com and wordpress.com.
But some of you maybe confuse or curious, what's the difference between the two? and which one is better?

If you ask for which one is better, maybe it rather not relevant. The most suitable question is, which one is better (suitable) for me?

PS: Please note that I'm not comparing blogger.com with wordpress.org / wordpress.com paid services.

So let's see both in some certain points

1. Simplicity

Blogger is much simpler than Wordpress. There are not many options in layout and such. It's easier for a beginner to follow the steps by steps building websites/blogs.
Wordpress otherwise, rather complex, with so many optional template, plugin, and many other customization

2. Customization

Like I said, blogger.com, is kinda simple and stiff, not many options or customization available.
WordPress.com is very customizable and has so many advances and powerful features, like online payment, mailing list, and so many optional plugins available. Also it has so many templates available on the webs. But you must know that most of the ultimate plugin/theme is not free.

3. Free space limit

Blogger.com provides 15 GB space for us to use. It's for one blogger account by the way. If you have some blogs under the same account, then you have 15 GB distributed to all of your blogs
Wordpress.com in other hands only gives you 3 GB of space

4. Paid Service

Blogger.com only provide paid items on the template and domain (address of your blog, in case you want to change from blabla.blogspot.com to blabla.com). So there are almost no difference between the paid and free version.
Wordpress.com offers so many options for the paid version, which of course makes your website much powerful and professional. But for you who just started building a website, maybe you won't really need it at the beginning.

5. Monetization

Blogger.com is part of google inc. So if you want apply for AdSense it's very simple. just click the menu "Earning" in your blogger panel, and follow the few simple steps.
Worpress.com does not allow you to put AdSense on your website, unless you using the paid version. And it also requires some long steps for you. You should apply to google manually, and it usually take times to be accepted. instead, maybe you will rejected several times before you will really accepted.

Conclusion:

Blogger.com is simple, not many customization, not many advanced feature (just like a blog should be) and provide more free space, and you could monetize it simply and easily through google AdSense.

Wordpress.com is much complex, with many customization options. But you hardly make it monetized. Unless you use the paid version. And you could make a bigger scale website using it. But of course you should invest more in the study and also money.

So which one you choose? Well, if you ask me, I will choose blogger.com as absolute Simplest Way to Do Blogging!
